By accessing or using the Barefoot Academy platform, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed or pre-licensed mental health professional to enroll in CEU programs.

2. Course Access

Upon payment, you receive a non-transferable, limited license to access course materials for personal, educational use only. You may not copy, share, or distribute materials without express permission.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds are offered within 5 days of purchase, provided that less than 20% of the course has been accessed and no certificate has been issued. See full Refund Policy above.

4. Certificate Issuance

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of required modules and assessments. It is your responsibility to ensure the course meets your licensing board’s requirements.

All content is owned by Barefoot Academy or used under license. Reproduction or unauthorized distribution is prohibited and may result in legal action.

Barefoot Academy Continuing

 Education Policies


1. ADA and Accessibility Compliance

Barefoot Academy ensures that all CE programs comply with federal, state, and local laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Participants requiring accommodations may request support by emailing [email protected]. Requests will be reviewed within 5 business days, and accommodations will be provided whenever reasonably possible.

Steps for Requesting Accommodation:

  1. Email a written request detailing the needed accommodation.

  2. Include relevant documentation, if applicable.

  3. We will follow up to confirm support or request further information.


2. Lawful and Ethical Operations

We conduct all educational and business activities in a responsible, lawful, and ethical manner. Our team abides by all legal requirements and ethical guidelines set by NBCC and other regulatory bodies.

All content, including text-based materials, video content, and assessments, is either original content owned by Barefoot Academy or used with express permission or license from the original creator.

Barefoot Academy maintains strict confidentiality and secure storage of all participant data. Personal information is never sold or shared with third parties and is stored using encrypted, secure systems.


6. Fees, Refunds, and Cancellations

  2. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.


7. Complaint and Dispute Resolution

If a participant is dissatisfied with a course, we offer a clear, timely process for resolution.

Steps to File a Complaint:

  2. A team member will acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days.

  3. A resolution or explanation will be provided within 10 business days.


8. Participant Attendance Verification

For home study courses, completion of required assessments (quizzes or reflections) and progress tracking within the platform will serve as attendance verification.


9. Certificate Distribution Process

Certificates of completion are automatically generated and emailed immediately upon successful course completion. If you do not receive your certificate within 24 hours, contact [email protected].


10. Recordkeeping and Data Retention

We maintain records of attendance, completion, evaluations, and issued certificates for a minimum of 5 years in compliance with NBCC Policy C.10. All data is stored securely and backed up regularly.


11. Program Evaluation Access

Participants will receive a course evaluation at the end of each program. This includes open-ended comment sections and satisfaction ratings across content, delivery, and learning outcomes.


12. Evaluation Use and Program Improvement

We review all feedback monthly and use it to guide course revisions, content updates, and presenter performance. Changes made as a result of feedback will be documented and reflected in updated versions of the program.
